SACRED HEART PROGRAM TO PARTNER WITH SCHOOL SISTERS OF NOTRE DAME FOR SPECIAL SHOW ON WOMEN REFUGEES

Airing the Week of January 13, 2002: “Inside The Golden Door”

The Sacred Heart Program has joined up with the School Sisters of Notre Dame to produce a special “CONTACT” radio show about women refugees and immigrants. Entitled, “Inside The Golden Door,” the show features the works of an exciting program run by the School Sisters that assists women immigrants and refugees in adapting to American culture by teaching them the English language.

“Inside The Golden Door” includes interviews with women who provide services to the refugees and immigrants as well as the immigrants and refugees themselves, giving listeners a thoughtful interpretation of life in-between cultures.

“CONTACT,” a Jesuit radio production, is one of the most widely-aired contemporary public service programs on radio. “CONTACT” is broadcast weekly by more than 400 stations across the nation and around the world.
