Fr. Albert Fritsch’s, SJ recent book, “Ecotourism in
Applachia,” published by University Press of Kentucky was
awarded the 2005 Caudill Prize which recognizes outstanding contributions
to reporting Appalachian life and values. Fr. Fritsch co-authored
the book which examines both the potential and the threats that
tourism holds for Central Appalachia. Fr. Fritsch, a Chicago Province
Jesuit who serves in the Kentucky Jesuit Mission is the founder
of Appalachia Science in the Public Interest and is the author of
several books. more
