The
priests of the Kentucky Jesuit Mission serve the people of Appalachia
and its surrounding areas in extraordinarily diverse ways. Members
of the Kentucky Jesuit Mission minister to the booming Hispanic
population in Lexington, to the students at the University of Kentucky
and to the members of many local parishes. The men of the Kentucky
Jesuit Mission have made a huge impact on Appalachia and its surrounding
areas. The Jesuits have had a growing impact over the Bluegrass
State since Fr. George Maynard, SJ set down roots in Lexington in
1973. Seven priests are currently serving in Kentucky, specifically
the southeastern section of the state.

Contact magazine article, Bluegrass
Jesuits.
