Chicago Jesuit Academy Opens Its Doors (Cover
Story)
This fall Chicago Jesuit Academy (CJA)—the first Nativity-model
school in Chicago—opened its doors to fifth graders on the
West Side. Responding to the growing need for quality education
in the area, CJA is different from other schools — the academic
year and days are longer, and the students are able to attend tuition
free. The school, which hopes to grow significantly in the next
few years, was able to open because of the kindness of the Chicago
Province and it’s many generous donors.

Formation
for the Greater Glory of God
Seven Jesuits from the Chicago Province will begin tertianship in
January at Loyola House in Berkley, MI. Tertianship is the final
stage in the formation process required by the Society of Jesus.
Fr. Fran Daly, SJ who is the director of the four-month tertianship
beginning in January explains what tertianship is and why it matters.

Mission of a Missionary
Fr.
Jack Kenealy, SJ, has taken his title of father very seriously by
serving as an adoptive father to over 20 orphaned girls in his 56-year
ministry as a priest in India. He has celebrated their triumphs,
encouraged them to be their best and cared for them in their greatest
