This fall, there were a total of 23 novices at the Patna Province novitiate. And there were 18 North American missionaries in Patna, Delhi, and Nepal. For the first time in history, the novices, all native vocations, outnumber the North Americans. Some might be surprised to learn this is exactly what the missionaries wanted.
