student there, almost half of the faculty was made up of Jesuits.
Despite today’s much smaller Jesuit communities, Jesuit schools

novitiate. And there were 18 North American missionaries in Patna,
Delhi, and Nepal. For the first time in history, the novices, all
native vocations, outnumber the North Americans. Some might be surprised
to learn this is exactly what the missionaries wanted.
